Lebanon Emergency
Lebanon needs immediate attention and here is why
The people of Lebanon are more vulnerable than ever before, with more than one million people living below the poverty line and 1.5 million refugees.
The explosion in Beirut on the 4th of August has ripped the city to shreds and has opened wounds for a fragile population which is already facing not only civil unrest but also the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to latest statistics, the explosion killed more than 178 people, left more than 6,500 injured, 300,000 people homeless, and severely damaged the critical health infrastructure and medical supplies. WHO says Lebanon needs $78 million just for immediate relief, let alone rehabilitation for restoring the lives and livelihoods of people in Lebanon.
Please help the people of Lebanon with an open heart. The winter is approaching and over 1.5 million refugees in Lebanon need immediate help. Please donate whatever you can for the people of Lebanon.
