Continuing Support for Communities in Türkiye

Many people across Türkiye continue to face hardship following the devastating earthquakes that hit Türkiye on February 2023, with many families still struggling to rebuild their lives amid displacement, rising living costs and financial uncertainty. Thousands remain dependent on humanitarian and welfare support while trying to regain stability and normality.

Since 2023, Muslim Charity has continued working across affected regions in Türkiye, delivering practical assistance and long-term recovery support to vulnerable communities affected by the disaster.

The long-term impact of the earthquakes continues to affect vulnerable households, particularly children, elderly people and families living in temporary or damaged accommodation. Economic pressures across Türkiye have made access to food, heating, hygiene items and essential household support increasingly difficult for low-income families.

Through ongoing welfare and rehabilitation projects, Muslim Charity continues reaching families most in need with practical support aimed at restoring dignity, comfort and stability during recovery.

INTERVENTION

Muslim Charity has continued supporting vulnerable families across Türkiye through practical relief, welfare and rehabilitation projects designed to help communities recover from the long-term impact of the earthquakes. Working alongside local partners, our teams have continued reaching families facing poverty, displacement and difficult living conditions across affected regions.

Since 2023, Muslim Charity has delivered:

– 1,525 Family Food Packs benefiting more than 7,625 people,
– 28 container homes provided to families whose homes were destroyed.
– 350 families provided with gas cylinder-stoves,
– 625 baby kits provided to families with babies,
– 10,000+ hot meals provided to displaced families,
– 1,721 thermal blankets and winter emergency packs distributed,
– 515 sleeping mattresses delivered to vulnerable households,
– 200 hygiene kits provided to families in need.

These projects continue to provide essential support for children, elderly people and vulnerable individuals still struggling with the lasting effects of displacement, financial hardship and unstable living conditions. Muslim Charity remains committed to helping communities regain comfort, dignity and stability through ongoing welfare and community support programmes. Projects implemented include:

– 50 wheelchairs for children with special needs,
– 450 diapers distributed for elderly people and infants,
– 250 baby milk deliveries for infants,
– 270 children’s clothing items distributed,
– 300 education kits for school-going children,
– 50 bicycles provided for school-going children,
