A NEW FLOOD
EMERGENCY IN PAKISTAN

Hundreds Dead and Thousands Displaced by Torrential Rains

In August 2025, torrential monsoon rains triggered devastating floods and landslides across Pakistan, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the most affected region. Over 900 lives have been lost and more than 7,000 homes damaged, leaving families displaced and communities in urgent need of support.

Muslim Charity is on the ground responding with emergency relief, and your support can help protect lives and restore hope.

In 2022, Pakistan faced unprecedented heavy rains and floods and one third of the country suffered the impact of widespread flooding. Around 33 million people were affected. 

In the 2022 floods, 7.9 million people were displaced, with at least 664,000 individuals moving into relief camps and informal sites. The floods damaged or destroyed more than 2.3 million homes and pushed more than 8 million people into poverty.

Further, over 30,000 schools and 2,000 health facilities were damaged and needed to be repaired or entirely rebuilt.

Despite all the efforts, many families in rural villages are still living in temporary shelters or unsafe mud rooms.

MUSLIM CHARITY
INTERVENTION

Thanks to your generous support, we have already reached more than 152,500 people affected by the devastating floods in Pakistan in 2022, where 33 million lost their homes and thousands tragically died.

Together, we have provided cooked meals, food packs and clean drinking water to families in desperate need.

In addition to providing emergency aid, we also looked towards the long-term support of affected families.

In light of this, we are also rebuilding homes for flood-affected families, with 800 safe and secure homes now completed across Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan. Yet, with the scale of destruction so vast, countless families are still without proper shelter and remain in urgent need of support.
