DEVASTATING FLOODS
IN NEPAL

Devastating flash floods have struck Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading, destroying homes, livelihoods and vital infrastructure. Families affected by the disaster urgently need food, clean water, emergency shelter and essential support.

Floodwaters, landslides and debris have damaged roads, bridges and essential infrastructure, making it difficult to reach some of the worst-affected communities and disrupting access to vital services.

Families who have lost their homes and livelihoods now face urgent needs for food, clean water, emergency shelter and essential supplies as they begin to confront the devastating aftermath of the disaster.

Children, older people and other vulnerable members of affected communities face heightened risks in the aftermath of the floods, particularly where access to safe shelter, clean water and healthcare has been disrupted.

As the full scale of the disaster continues to emerge, rapid humanitarian assistance is urgently needed to help families who have lost so much and support communities through the immediate emergency.

Muslim Charity is responding to the devastating floods in Nepal, working through trusted local partners already on the ground to reach families whose homes, livelihoods and communities have been severely affected. Our response is being guided by needs identified directly within flood-affected communities, helping ensure assistance reaches vulnerable families facing the greatest hardship.

As emergency distributions get underway, we are working to provide timely, practical and dignified support to people who have lost so much. Through our local partnerships, Muslim Charity can respond directly to changing conditions and continue reaching communities as the humanitarian situation develops.
