Around the world, winter leaves vulnerable communities even more vulnerable, often struggling to stay alive. With climate change, we are witnessing more intense winters, random freak weather, and an increase in natural disasters such as flooding.
Overwhelmingly, these are affecting communities who already have so little, often wondering where their next meal is coming from.
Millions of people often do not have enough food to eat, clean water to drink, or safe shelter to keep them protected.
In winter, these issues are heightened, leaving people without the sustenance, protection and support they desperately need.
Across the Middle East, millions of people have been displaced from their homes due to war and violence, while refugee communities in places like Lebanon are struggling to rebuild their lives.
The recent conflict in Gaza, Palestine, has seen over 1.7 million people being displaced from their homes, with nowhere safe to seek shelter. Now, as winter sets in, millions of refugees and displaced people have nowhere to flee with the winter clothing, food, heating, water and shelter they desperately need.
For communities across Pakistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen and Nepal, winter brings huge threats to survival as temperatures drop. This winter, embrace humanity and leave no one behind.
Every winter, Muslim Charity is determined to keep vulnerable communities warm and safe. This year, we ask you to embrace humanity, and donate to provide essential winter kits, clothing and food to those most in need.
Last year, together we supported almost 8,000 people in need with essential winter aid, helping them to stay warm and safe in the winter months.
This year, we want to do even more. We’re striving to provide warmth and safety to communities in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Nepal, and here at home in the UK.
With your support, we will be distributing warm clothing, shawls, socks, hats, blankets, mattresses, jackets, food, heaters and fuel. We know that this vital winter aid can truly save lives this winter, and through our emergency response, we seek to protect, support and keep warm.
We will be spreading warmth this winter in the UK too, by providing sleeping bags, mats, hygiene kits and warm food and drink.
You can send your warmth in the form of warm shawls, winter socks and hats. These items will help families stay warm and safe this winter.
Help a family in the Middle East stay warm this winter with jackets for children, winter blankets and fuel. Families will be able to heat their homes and their food with your generosity.
You can send your warmth to a vulnerable family and provide them with enough nutritious food to eat for one month. Each food pack includes vital, staple food for a whole family and will help them stay healthy and strong throughout the winter.
