Located in the beautiful Jordan valley and with Jerusalem to the West, the fertile lands of Jericho are where our plump, juicy and delicious dates have been grown for generations by Palestinian farmers. Earning a livelihood is difficult for Palestinian farmers, as the political circumstances leaves them with little support, incentives or subsidies. This means, every box of dates you buy will help Palestinian farmers and their families, who toil in the blazing sunshine to grow these dates.
Millions of children around the world face hunger every single day, preventing them from growing, learning and thriving. A lack of proper nutrition affects their physical health, cognitive development and ability to focus in school, ultimately limiting their future opportunities.
At Muslim Charity, we believe that no child should go hungry. However, 155 million children worldwide suffer from hunger daily, with thousands tragically losing their lives due to malnutrition. Many children are forced to work instead of attending school, while those who do go often struggle to concentrate due to hunger.
Through our Feed a Child campaign, we provide hot, nutritious meals in schools, ensuring children have the energy they need to learn and grow. This initiative not only tackles hunger but also encourages school attendance, helping children stay in education and build brighter futures.
Additionally, the project empowers local communities by sourcing food from small businesses, particularly those run by widows and vulnerable women, creating sustainable livelihoods while nourishing children in need.
The Medjoul Dates from Palestine (800g) are sold in the UK by TEAMMC LTD, a UK-registered trading subsidiary of Muslim Charity, with all profits directly supporting the charitable mission of Muslim Charity.
