The “Choudry Mohammed Aslam Memorial Trust Hospital” is a 10-bed facility which is equipped with modern equipment and is providing primary healthcare, antenatal and postnatal services to the 3,000 households in its immediate catchment area.
It has been built with room for further extension and expansion as per the needs of the local communities.
Pakistan has relatively the worst neonatal and maternal health indicators than its neighbouring countries in South Asia. Over 200,000 newborn die each year which represent 58% of the total under 5 child deaths in the country.
Mothers are at the heart of society and Muslim Charity’s #HonouringOurMothers campaign aims to highlight the plight of vulnerable mothers prior to, during and after pregnancy and childbirth. When a mother dies, her young child is ten times more likely to also die in developing countries around the world. Your support to our #HonouringOurMothers campaign will help save the lives of mothers and children.
