Muslim Charity launches Qurbani/Udhiya 2013 programme
Muslim Charity is helping Muslims fulfil the religious obligation of Qurbani/Udhiya whilst sharing the blessings and happiness of Eid-ul-Adha with some of the most vulnerable people: orphans, widows, the elderly, disabled, victims of war and natural disasters around the world.
“Over four million displaced and facing the woes of war in and around Syria, hundreds and thousands of street children in Dhaka, thousands of Rohingyan families living under siege in Burma along with thousands of families affected by recent floods in Pakistan are amongst the beneficiaries of Qurbani/Udhiya meat distributions. Our efforts are not just to feed the families but also to help them by creating livelihood opportunities through the skins of animals. In many ways small traders and families at home will benefit from the sale of these skins.” As explained by Muslim Charity’s Director of Programme and Policy while launching the Qurbani 2013 programme.
