Muslim Charity helping displaced Syrian families by providing food assistance and maternal care

Over four million are on the move in and outside of Syria, facing the woes and worries of their existence and future. The scale of the suffering caused by Syria’s Civil war is staggering. The persecution, torture and killings are pushing civilians to seek refuge in the neighbouring countries. Eighty per cent of those fleeing persecution are women and children. Fleeing for their lives, over a million have left their homes with nothing but clothes on their backs. Every day thousands more arrive. According to the Government of Lebanon and relief agencies, over 800,000 Syrian refugees, registered and un-registered are living in the country. Nearly half of these refugees are living in north Lebanon, and about 40% have found help in the Bekaa Valley, which runs along Lebanon’s eastern border with Syria.

Muslim Charity is responding with lifesaving maternal health assistance, Core Relief Items (CRI) food, and non-food along with expending its operation to provide education, house rent and livelihood opportunities for women especially in Mount Lebanon, South Lebanon and Beirut.

Those that have fled are in desperate need of shelter, food and water. Muslim Charity is scaling up its response. Please donate towards our food distribution for the Syrian Refugees in Lebanon.

£50 will feed a family for two weeks.
