They also took small detours to visit the famous pottery makers in Multan, artisans and weavers of Bahawalpur, and to taste the sweetness of the sugar cane direct from the fields.
With the beautiful backdrop and dramatic sunset they gave away their beloved rickshaws to their rightful owners. The beneficiaries were carefully selected and given to families that would have the most positive impact.
Further rickshaws have been ordered and will be delivered over the next couple of months to more families so they too can rise to fulfil their dreams and aspirations.
For all the participants it was an emotional and gruelling journey at times. But the struggle enabled them to understand the difficulty of managing and driving a rickshaw for 5-6 hours each day.
South Punjab is not a usual place for tourists but the communities welcomed them with the famous Pakistani hospitality.
