Be blessed during this Ramadan Kareem

Be blessed during this Ramadan by embracing the charitable spirit and giving back to those less fortunate in the community. The expression “Ramadan Kareem” will for many people be one of the most oft-repeated phrases during the coming month.

Even if you don’t speak Arabic you will be bombarded by transliterations of the phrase adorning shopping malls and streets. We all know that Ramadan is the name of the Islamic calendar’s holiest month, but what is “Kareem”? Our Arabic dictionaries tend to equate “Kareem” with the English word “generous”. And generosity is undoubtedly one of the defining characteristics of this holy month. Allah (most high) says; “They give food, out of love for Him (Allah), to the poor, the orphan, and the slave, saying: We feed you only for Allah’s pleasure – we desire from you neither reward nor thanks.”

During last Ramadan many generous acts of kindness across the UK and Europe helped Muslim Charity to share joy and blessings of Ramadan by the distribution of food amongst the most vulnerable families across Africa and Asia.

Please share ‘Ramadan Kareem’ blessings with the unfortunate around the world to ensure no one sleeps hungry this holy month by donating towards our FOOD 4 A MILLION appeal.

Please join us on our Ramadan Food Appeals and help us achieve our target of Feeding One Million People this Ramadan on Tuesday 2nd July 2013 on ARY QTV (8pm UK Time) and on Wednesday 3rd July 2013 on Channel S (7.30pm UK Time).

Tune in to share the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan.
