HOW YOU CAN HELP

Yemen Emergency

Yemen is in midst of a major crisis. Armed conflict, displacement, famine and disease has meant 22.2 million people are in desperate need of your help.

Currently, over 75% of the entire population are in need of desperate humanitarian aid. That’s 22.2 million people in the middle of a major man-made crisis.

11.3 million are in acute need of immediate assistance just to survive; an increase on over 1,000,000 people since 2017. Nearly one in three of every district in the region has been identified as a first priority; meaning they are facing heightened risk of famine and require coordinated and integrated response efforts to avert catastrophe.

The 2018 Humanitarian Needs Overview estimated that 1.8 million children under the age of five are at risk of acute malnutrition whilst 400,000 are at risk of severe acute malnutrition; that’s one in three children in desperate need.

Muslim Charity Intervention

Muslim Charity has been helping the coordinated efforts of the relief efforts but we urgently need your help.

In the past year we have been able to supply 350 food packs to nearly 2,100 people, non-food items to 150 families whilst 4,000 families have been able to receive clean drinking water.

Alongside the supplies, we have also been able to install 28 water tanks in IDP camps as well as establish 4 medical camps to provide primary health care and provide medical assistance and medicine.

This is just a toe in the water though and your help is required urgently. A donation of £50 can provide a food pack that will feed a family for an entire month whilst £100 will give them food, hygiene supplies and a survival kit.
