The Lands End to John O’Groats Charity Cycle Ride is the ultimate British adventure, taking you across the entire United Kingdom. Starting from the rugged cliffs of Cornwall at Land’s End and stretching to the remote northern tip of Scotland at John O’Groats, this iconic journey spans over 975 miles of diverse landscapes. From rolling countryside and bustling towns to serene coastal roads and challenging mountain passes, this ride will test your endurance, reward you with breath-taking views, and leave you with unforgettable memories.

Your Itinerary

Friday, 5th September 2025 - Travel & Settle In
We’ll kick things off with a journey down to Cornwall. You and your bike can hop on our group transport from London for a small additional fee, or make your own way to the starting point at Land’s End. Accommodation for the night is sorted and covered in your registration - we’ll share the details closer to the event.

 

Saturday, 6th September - Pedals Down: Land’s End to Okehampton
Let the adventure begin! Our first stage is no joke - about 110 miles (177 km) and over 7,000 feet (2,134 m) of climbing through the rugged, scenic hills of Cornwall and Devon. It’s a tough start, but the ocean views are worth every pedal stroke.

 

Sunday, 7th September - Rolling North: Okehampton to Bristol
We continue with another 110 miles (177 km), this time across gentler but still undulating terrain. Expect lush greenery and charming countryside lanes as we make our way into the vibrant city of Bristol.

 

Monday, 8th September - Through the Midlands: Bristol to Shrewsbury
A longer day in the saddle at 130 miles (209 km), with 4,800 feet (1,463 m) of ascent. We'll be riding through some of England’s most peaceful rural stretches.

 

Tuesday, 9th September - Into the Lakes: Shrewsbury to Kendal
Today’s leg takes us 140 miles (225 km) and climbs about 6,200 feet (1,890 m). The route is long but rewarding, with the dramatic landscapes of the Lake District waiting to welcome us.

 

Wednesday, 10th September - Rest Day in Kendal
Feet up! You’ve earned a break. Whether you explore Kendal’s market town charm or simply relax, today’s about recovery and recharging.

 

Thursday, 11th September - Hello Scotland: Kendal to Gretna Green
A shorter but punchy ride at 65 miles (105 km) and 4,500 feet (1,372 m) elevation. We’ll cross the English-Scottish border and tick off a major milestone.

 

Friday, 12th September - Deep into the Highlands: Gretna Green to Pitlochry
This 150-mile (241 km) ride will test your stamina with a 6,000-foot (1,829 m) climb, but the reward is some of the finest scenery the Scottish Highlands have to offer.

 

Saturday, 13th September - Northbound: Pitlochry to Inverness
We’re getting close! 100 miles (161 km) and 5,800 feet (1,768 m) stand between us and the Highland capital. Expect lochs, pine forests, and proper postcard views.

 

Sunday, 14th September - Final Stretch: Inverness to Wick
Our penultimate stage is a solid one - 150 miles (241 km) with 4,700 feet (1,433 m) of climbing. Wick is our last stop before the final victory ride.

 

Monday, 15th September - The Finish Line: Wick to John O’Groats
Just 20 miles (32 km) left to go, with a modest climb of 1,200 feet (366 m). We’ll reach John O’Groats together, marking the end of an unforgettable journey from the very tip of England to the far north of Scotland.
