In the 21st century, it is almost impossible to imagine a world without electricity. We use electricity from the moment we wake to the moment we sleep, and even while we sleep. We use electricity for lighting, heating, cooking, washing, cleaning, all forms of working, communication and entertainment among other things. Electricity has made our lives easier, enabling us to do things more quickly and with ease, and also keeps us safe. Street lighting, security alarms and CCTV cameras are a few ways in which electricity helps us stay safe in an ever-changing world.
There are a staggering 770 million people around the world who are living without access to electricity. Entire villages and communities are in constant darkness, making the winter months particularly difficult. Many communities are too far away from the national grid, meaning they do not have access to electricity. Without lights in their homes and their streets, there are constant security threats, especially for women and children. In summers, families live without fans to cool them down, and in winter, they live without heating.
Muslim Charity is working in impoverished communities without electricity, to spread light and hope. We provide families with solar panels, solar lights, inverters, batteries, and fans. With solar panels, we are able to harness energy from the sun to generate power for lighting.
You can donate solar panels for a house in an impoverished community, and help provide energy and lighting for a family in need. Your solar panel donation will help families live with ease, safety and security. The solar panels will provide energy, enabling families to power fans and lights, ending the darkness they are living in.
Your solar panel donation is Zakat eligible, and together we will be able to bring ease and comfort to families who do not have electricity in their everyday lives. You will be making a real difference in the lives of impoverished communities, promoting a better standard of living, and enhancing their opportunities and access to the outside world. Without electricity, many communities are being held back and are not able to make the best use of their time.
